How are Neo-Synephrine® Nasal Sprays different than oral nasal decongestants?
Neo Synephrine® Nasal Sprays contain the same active ingredients as many over-the-counter oral nasal decongestants. One advantage of utilizing a nasal spray over tablets is that it works immediately since it is applied locally where the congestion occurs - in your nose.

How are Neo-SynephrineŽ Nasal Sprays different than saline solution sprays?
Saline nasal sprays are just a solution of water and non-iodized salt. Unlike medicated nasal sprays, they have no active ingredients. Although effective for a mild stuffy nose, saline solution rarely has much impact on mucous membranes that may be inflamed and irritated from a cold or allergies. Use of a medicated nasal spray such as Neo Synephrine® clears nasal passages almost immediately because it shrinks swollen nasal membranes, allowing for free breathing.

What is the difference between phenylephrine hydrochloride and oxymetazoline hydrochloride?
Both products, when applied directly to the nasal passages, cause the constriction of blood vessels in the mucous membranes, resulting in their shrinkage. This promotes drainage, improved breathing and relief of congestion. The long half-life of oxymetazoline HCI allows for 12-hour relief.
